SCIENTIFIC EXCHANGE 2023: A Journey to The Top; The Past, Present, and Future of Probiotics Applications in Human Wellbeing
Renowned scientists from around the world gathered in Montreal at the occasion of the 12th edition of Scientific Exchange event, organized by the Rosell® Institute for Microbiome and Probiotics by Lallemand, on February 15-16.
The SciEx conference program and poster presentations provided an open platform to share scientific findings in recent published and unpublished preclinical and clinical research, conducted in collaboration with Lallemand Health Solutions probiotic strains, spark innovative ideas and discussions, and nourish new partnerships.
“SciEx is an internal conference with some of our international collaborators where we encourage discussions and sharing about research and development as well as results. With this year’s thematic, we wanted to build on current knowledge in microbiome research and leverage this comprehension to stir innovative ideas for future projects. The key takeaway message from the sessions is how the gut microbiota has become a focal point of interest to potentially influence quality of life in fields as diversified as weight management, women’s fertility, infantile spasm, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis,” expressed Sylvie Binda, vice-president of research and development at Lallemand Health Solutions. “Probiotics have the potential to improve quality of life in a growing number of conditions and health applications. We would like to thank all our valued partners,” she concludes.
